When we have attachment trauma which most people have to some degree, we prioritise other peoples feelings and peace over our own.

Healing often means facing those uncomfortable feelings and perceptions of abandonment or rejection and choosing ourself and taking responsibility for how we feel instead of putting it on anyone else.

Sometimes these feelings can feel so overwhelming that we choose to maintain our attachments even to the detriment of ourselves.

Then you start to lose who you are and become even more disconnected.

Letting go of attachments can be hard but it can be one of the most powerful ways of finding yourself as you confront the pain and turn it into your power through acceptance and compassion.
